Who we’re looking for:
We’re looking for professional, customer service oriented individuals to join our team in the Emergency Dispatch Center. Our dispatchers must display a high level of attention to detail and possess a passion for helping people, along with the ability to remain calm and empathetic while taking control during an emergency situation.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Must be able to work 2nd Shift (3:45 pm - 12:15 am) and/or 3rd Shift (11:45 pm - 8:15 am)
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a call center customer service representative or dispatcher
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Excellent customer service skills with knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Superior oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional active listening skills, giving full attention to what other people are saying, asking questions as appropriate without interrupting at inappropriate times
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Accurately type at least 35 wpm with no more than 3 errors
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Dependable, organized and detail oriented
  • Positive, competitive and determined attitude. A sense of humor is a plus!

Beneficial (but not required) Skills & Experience:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Current CPR/AED, HIPAA and/or AEMD certifications
  • Previous experience with Manitou and/or Sedona Office


What you’ll do:

As an Emergency Dispatcher, you will be handling calls from emergency phones located inside elevators, at public swimming pools, college campuses, storage facilities, etc. as well as alerts sent from lone worker devices. We will provide you with simulation and hands on training so that you can successfully handle each call. Each day you will be helping those in need while working in a close, supportive environment.

Since emergencies can happen at all hours of any given day, Kings III Emergency Dispatch Center operates 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. There are 3 main shifts that span over the 24 hours (12am-8am, 8am-4pm and 4pm-12am).
